Immerse yourself and learn about the Ireland family and Burlington’s agricultural roots at Ireland House at Oakridge Farm, built in 1837 and one of Burlington’s oldest heritage homes. Guided tours, heritage demonstrations, and interactive programming bring Burlington’s past to the present as visitors explore the house, grounds and interpretive centre.

1867: Taste of the Seasons Program

The Museums of Burlington is happy to offer a new education program exclusively for 2017 in celebration of Ontario’s 150th anniversary. This program will be offered at Ireland House Museum as a four part seasonal series which will explore activities typical of a day in the life of an Ontario farm family circa 1867. Participants will experience informative video presentations by community partners, engage in first person interpretation through tablet presentations, and participate in hands-on activities.

On April 10th, students and staff from Cawthra Park S.S. "Please join us at Cawthra Park to see this playful new adaptation of Jane Austen's beloved novel, Sense and Sensibility. The young talent will inspire and entertain you as will the beautiful costumes and brilliant staging of this classic play.
