Students will learn how pioneers would have lived off the land and most importantly recycled, reused and repurposed many items. From family economics to seasonal awareness, students will take a special ‘fabric swatch tour’ of the Museum using a small piece of fabric as a ‘clue tool’ to look for how things were reused in the home. Moving outside on the grounds, students will then explore the garden and historic potting shed and learn of the special need for planting and harvesting knowledge.
