PA Day Camp

 LAST PA DAY CAMP OF THE YEAR! Its the last PA Day before school ends for the summer break and we are going to have a super fun experience at Ireland House! We are going to be tye-dying t-shirts, making strawberry jam and learning all about how the Ireland Family would have preserved fruits, and we will be playing lots of outdoor games!

Victorian Cooking Program

Ireland House at Oakridge Farm will be hosting a Victorian Tea cooking program on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.  Limited to 10 participants, the program will be lead by local culinarian and cooking instructor, Michelle Gatien, author of “The Market Cook”. Participants will enjoy an intimate cooking experience in the historic 1850s hearth kitchen, where they will learn and make traditional and seasonal treats often served at a Victorian tea.  At the end of the cooking program, participants will receive a guided tour of the historic Ireland family home, followed by a formal tea sitting where they will be able to enjoy the results of their cooking adventure. Cost: $35.00 per person.

Storybook Adventures Summer Camp Series

LEARN AND ENJOY THE CLASSICS! Campers will spin a web with Charlotte; try their hand at living pioneer style a la Little House on the Prairie by making old-fashioned toys; build a house of candy for Hansel and Gretel; make leaf rubbings for the Giving Tree and create their very own Pinocchio puppet. Activities will also include baking, tours of the House and outdoor activities including old-fashioned games like Blind Man’s Bluff and Kick the Can. WELCOME TO ADVENTURE! Campers will create a pirate hat and an eye patch for Treasure Island, light the Polar Expresses way with a tin punched lantern, survive a shipwreck with the Swiss Family Robinson, make a 3-D wild thing with Where the Wild Things are and compete in a life sized game of Jumanji.
